Ultimate Winter Boot March 20, 2010 S. Norton (Asheville, NC) I absolutely LOVE this boot. It does run small so I ordered a size larger for comfort. Everywhere I go someone asks me about my boots and where to find them. I got 4 pair of them; one in each color I like them so much. I have pain in my feet and legs but these are really comfortable for me. And they look great with jeans tucked in them. I like all of them but this is my favorite color because it goes with just about anything. If they don't work the black ones do. I doubt that I will wear another boot after finding these.
Those aren't just BOOTS- They're my best friends! February 11, 2010 K. Meyer Wanted boots like this since I was a little girl--watching the rich ladies wear them apres ski (just like one other reviewer) NEVER could afford them. Worried about quality--hadn't heard of Bearpaw Co. Not only are they delightfully bohemian they feel better than any SLIPPER I've ever worn. I am a Ski Patroller. I did a search and rescue mission in Upstate NY in late January. I went through thistles and frozen mud and prickers and rocky gullys for two solid days. I got home, brushed the dried mud from the goatskin, cleaned the rubber soles and sides and they still look brand new! Waterproof, cold proof and they are so darned cute! Also, when I read reviews I saw many ppl complain about the fit. My feet are a size 7 and I wanted an 8 bec reviews said to buy one size bigger for bulky socks. I took the chance on the 7--it's all they had. I'm glad I didn't get the bigger size. My feet are WIDE---no problem! My calves are athletic but the boot gave way. The photo does not show how beautifully cushy the lining is above the ankles...mmmmmmm. Nor does it show that you sink into about an inch of sheepskin luxury in the footbeds. One reviewer was negative about the feathers possibly giving out??? Not through the thistles and prickers they didn't. One crazy dieter friend said she wouldn't try them because they MIGHT MAKE HER FEET LOOK FAT!!(??) Can you imagine how impossibly cute my legs look? FAT FEET NOT! Yes! I AM a tough Ski Patroller who does difficult search and rescue and enjoys having cute legs--tough! BEARPAW: Make more for next season--I'd like a brown pair! ;-)
Great Boot February 7, 2010 M. Derwin (MD, USA) I have had the White Bearpaw Kola boots for about a month. I have worn them in the cold and snow. They did great. I added a layer of waterproof protection to be safe (no color change). I also had two muddy puppies trample these white boots. Once they dried, the mud wicked off (makes sense as mountain goats always seem clean)- I was happy, thought they'd be ruined. Baby wipes also seem to take any other possible stains right out. The pheasant feathers are placed at the right height for getting into the car - if the boot bumps into the part of the frame under the door - they hit the feathers not the goat hair. These are easy to maintain, comfy, and warm. I have had many compliments. Buyer beware, people will want to feel the goat hair. Oh! check the calf width/opening - it's 13.5 inches (found that on the DSW website). That was helpful, I measured first. Also, they do run a tad small, I am a 7 1/2 - 8, I could've used an 8 1/2 but I am ok with the 8, I don't wear thick socks, don't need them in this boot as you could wear them w/o socks and still be warm.
LOVE MY NEW BOOTS!!! January 29, 2010 Y. Christensen (London, England.) I cannot believe that I ordered these boots on the 27th of Jan and they arrived two days later!! I live in London!!! They cost me the equivalent of £80 incl. postage. You cannot get anything like these boots in the UK and certainly not at that price.
They are amazing. Warm and comfortable and no one else has them here. I will not take them off until spring!! They're a bit one the small size, but I knew that so I ordered half a size up. Also, if you have big calves, they will be tight.
I'm taking my new boots for a walk...
Yane.
Boot circumference is too small! January 23, 2010 scm (Colorado Springs) I loved, loved these boots! Great looking, comfortable and a good price. However, they were just too snug
pulling on and off. I wanted to tuck my jeans inside, but just too tight, and I don't have fat calves, so
decided to return. Darn.
